PLAYING IN A COMPETITION AT NEW MILLS GOLF CLUB
Before your round
- Book your tee time in advance on BRS;
- Pay your entry fee to a member of staff in the Pro Shop;
- Using the Input Screen, locate your name, then choose & Sign In to the Competition (Note: there may be more than one competition taking place);
- You MUST Sign In to enter the Competition;
- Obtain a scorecard, place your label on the scorecard. Your label will show your name, competition name, date, handicap index, course handicap & playing handicap;
- Your Playing Handicap will be used to work out the Competition result and your Course Handicap will be used to work out your new Handicap Index.
During your round
- You should swap your scorecard with one of your playing partners;
- You should mark your playing partner’s score in Column A and your score in the Marker’s column;
- It is important, at the end of the round, to check and confirm each other’s score;
- You should sign the Marker’s signature on your partner’s scorecard and the Player’s signature on your scorecard.
Processing your Score
- You must process your score immediately after play;
- You should do this on the Input Screen in the Clubhouse Foyer;
- Choose the Competition that you have played in and enter your score. You must leave your scorecard in the Clubhouse.
Penalty for Not Processing your Score
- If you do not process your score you will be contacted and asked for an explanation for not entering your score;
- If you have just forgotten, you will be given the opportunity to put your score through;
- Alternatively, if you do not wish to put through your score and do not have a valid reason, a penalty score may be applied;
- If you continue to not process your scores the Handicap Committee can take steps to stop you playing in Competitions or freeze your Handicap Index.
